AKRON, Ohio (June 23, 2010) - This season, the Racers created a promotional schedule jam packed with a little something for everyone out there during each homestand! The Racers have also developed a series of fun and interactive in-game promotions which will grant lucky fans the opportunity to dine with players, win everything from giveaways to bicycles and even an all-expenses paid trip to the 2010 NPF Championships!
Race To Championships, “Bound 4 The Bayou King Cake” Promotion
Presented by Akron Racers Charities, Ninni’s Bakery and the Holiday Inn, Sulphur, La.
At each of the Racers 25 home games, the Racer Nation faithful will have the chance to win an all-inclusive trip (airfare, championship tickets and hotel fees) for two to attend the 2010 NPF Championships held in Sulphur, La., August 26-29. The process is simple and goes towards a great cause, benefiting the KICK IT program. All fans have to do is show up at one of our home games, buy a slice of cake for $10 (tax write-off) and pick the winning slice!
If a contestant’s slice contains the heralded baby, they are automatically entered in the final drawing (August 8), earn free tickets and a spot in the final raffle to determine the overall winner. Yes, that’s right, 25 home games means, 25 finalists will be narrowed down to one lucky winner!
Pepsi Kids’ Day

Akron and Pepsi have partnered to sponsor Pepsi Kids’ Days each Sunday of the season. The games will feature $5 tickets in the stadium and terrace seating sections for kids aged 12 or younger. Additionally $1 hot dogs will be on sale for all in attendance while a free raffle entry for one boy and one girl will grant the winner a Dr. Pepper bicycle!

During one game of each homestand, fans will have the option of buying a $1 BINGO! Card in hopes of winning lunch for two with an Akron Racer! The entire schedule for the season is outlined below with more players and dates added if a strong demand emerges!
