AKRON RACERS DEBUT WALLPAPERS FOR COMPUTER, PHONE SCREENS

AKRON, Ohio. – March 12, 2012 – The Akron Racers take the field in 84 days, but to cure the softball blues, the Akron Racers have announced a new way to take your favorite Racers’ player with you everywhere you go with the creation of Akron Racers wallpapers for your computer and phone.
 
Available at www.akronracers.org under the ‘Fan Central’ tab, Racers fans can download their favorite players in their very own computer wallpaper and phone screen.
 
 
The remaining roster of players (Brianne Hesson, Aja Paculba, Kaylyn Castillo and the draftees) will be available shortly in the second edition, once the players appear in a Racers uniform.
 
The Akron Racers open the 2012 season on Thursday, June 7, with a regular season opener against the newly formed Carolina Diamonds. Season tickets for the 2012 season are on sale now and can be ordered by calling 330-376-8188.
 
About the Akron Racers: The Akron Racers, headquartered in Akron, OH, are the oldest existing team in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league. The Racers competed in the Women's Pro Softball League (WPSL) for two seasons in 1999 and 2000 and in the NPF since 2004.
